RANDY MOLLER’S BEAT-UP SKATES, 1994-1995
Your very own favorite on-air talent, Randy Moller, wore these skates while he was playing for the Panthers in his final NHL season. The cross-hatch stitching on the sides was an equipment manager’s modification to make the skates sturdier and get more life out of them. The new synthetic materials being used in NHL-level skates at the time would break down due to water damage and other wear and tear.
