How many of you remember staying up for this one? Roberto Luongo shut down Alexander Ovechkin at BB&T Center at the end of an unforgettable and recording-breaking 20-round OT shootout against the Washington Capitals. Luongo was masterful, blocking 15 shots during the 20 rounds. The offense deserves credit too, with Jussi Jokinen, Dave Bolland, Derek MacKenzie, Sean Bergenheim and Dylan Olsen each contributing a successful attempt after the Capitals got one past Lu. But it was Nick Bjugstad’s shot in the 40th attempted goal of OT that sealed the Cats’ 2-1 victory. Talk about a well-earned win!
