CAPTAINS OF THE CATS
It takes a special man to captain the Cats. Only ten guys have worn the big “C” on their jerseys, and all of them displayed a rare combination of talent and leadership. The captain is the only player on the ice who is allowed to discuss rule interpretations with the referee, so you want a level-headed and experienced skater in the role. (Goalies cannot serve as captains because it’s not often logistically practical for them to engage a ref in conversation.) From Brian Skrudland to Aleksander Barkov, Panthers captains have not only been level-headed Panthers advocates during games, but have also been leaders off the ice and in the community.
