A SECOND SHOT FOR THE STANLEY CUP

The Panthers welcomed Eetu Luostarinen (right) for his redemption tour in the 2024 Stanley Cup Final. After a solid performance in the 2023 postseason, Luostarinen missed that year’s Final after suffering a broken leg. One year later, the young forward was healthy and ready to play in the 2024 iteration. “We always thought highly of him last year, but I think absence makes the heart grow fonder. When he missed that series, we really noticed it,” said head coach Paul Maurice. Luostarinen scored his first Stanley Cup goal with an empty-netter in Game 1 to start the Cats off right. He played all seven games of the championship series, taking full advantage of his second chance on hockey’s biggest stage.
