Sam Reinhart scored a goal and added two assists to lift the Panthers to a 5-1 win over the Chicago Blackhawks at home. With the goal Reinhart broke a tie with Olli Jokinen and became the first player in team history to have four-straight 30 goal seasons. The Panthers overcame a Chicago goal seven seconds into the game to earn the win which allowed Paul Maurice to become the fourth coach in NHL history to reach 900 career wins. Maurice said of Reinhart, “He takes the chances when he is supposed to and never cheats the game to put up these big numbers. He’s a brilliant player.”
