REIMER’S TRANSFORMATION PHASE 1

This James Reimer mask, titled “Optimus Reim: Transformation Phase 1,” was painted by artist Dave Gunnarsson for the first half of the 2018-2019 season. The design featured Reimer’s usual Optimus Prime-inspired theme. As Gunnarsson explained, the mask was “the first step in a series of masks of transformation.” The panther on top of Reimer’s head was still a panther and the truck on the side of his head was still a truck. With his next mask, however, the transformation would be complete.
