REINHART’S MULTI-MILESTONE MARKER
Date: January 17, 2024
Sam Reinhart went bar down on a shorthanded breakaway against his former teammate Alex Lyon and the Detroit Red Wings at home to put the Cats up 1-0. With the goal Reinhart became the first player in franchise history to score in eight straight games, breaking a tie with Pavel Bure (2001). “I think any time you’re in the conversation with Pavel Bure, that’s pretty cool,” said Reinhart. He was also the first player in NHL history to score a special teams goal in eight straight games – the record had been six. Reinhart also tied his then-career high with 33 goals and reached career point No. 500.
