The Panthers selected John Vanbiesbrouck as the first pick of the 1993 NHL Expansion Draft, and the goalie became a team legend. Vanbiesbrouck capped off a successful 1995-1996 season with 12 wins during the 1996 Stanley Cup Playoffs.
